Presented through Michigan Virtual University and co-sponsored by the Michigan State University College of Nursing and the Michigan Department of Community Health, this course provides an overview of the EPSDT program in Michigan.
EPSDT is Medicaid's comprehensive and preventive child health program for individuals under the age of 21. This course will discuss how you can help your provider (physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant) deliver EPSDT services to your patients. It has been specifically written for office staff, including nurses.
Nurses who successfully complete this program and submit an evaluation will receive 2.5 nursing continuing education contact hours. Nursing contact hours for this course are available from 9/1/09 through 9/30/2011.
This course is designed for registered nurses and other health professionals who provide care for children in primary care settings.
