Q&A with Grace Williams

After witnessing the devastation that high infant mortality rates have caused in Worcester, Massachusetts, specifically within their large Ghanaian demographic, PhD student and Ghanaian immigrant, Grace Williams knew it was up to her to address this health disparity. Williams wants to ensure they receive proper nutrition and treatment during all phases of pregnancy: preconception, prenatal, and postnatal care.

Winter Car Seat Safety

Did you know that a child can be seriously injured while wearing a heavy winter coat even though the child is strapped into a car seat or seatbelt? Crash tests have demonstrated that seatbelts and car seat harnesses do not hold a child securely in his/her seat when the harness is loosened to allow the extra room necessary to accommodate a winter coat.
