Being on the front lines of healthcare delivery, nurses represent the largest group of professionals in healthcare. There are over 3 million nurses in the nation and an estimated 150,000 licensed nurses in Michigan.
The College of Nursing utilizes partnerships with numerous individual nurses, healthcare organizations and institutions to enhance the skills of nursing professionals and positively impact the evolving healthcare system.
The College focuses on community care that improves quality of life through a collaboration of services that includes:
- Continuing education opportunities for professional nurses
- International outreach in educational programming and civic engagement to address state, national, and global health concerns
- Clinical practice by expert faculty in local communities
