Beyond the Classroom: Interaction and InvolvementThe Nursing Student Association (NSA) is Michigan State University College of Nursing's only professional student organization, fostering professional and personal development of pre-nursing and nursing students.
NSA is an excellent way to interact with fellow nursing students and faculty. The NSA provides an avenue to learn more about the College of Nursing, seek advice and suggestions for success, and become involved in community services projects.
Benefits of Membership:
- Monthly meetings with diverse guests presenting on a variety of nursing opportunities available to you.
- Community service projects such as cooking at the Ronald McDonald House, various events at the Lansing Rescue Mission, Wynwood Retirement Center, and many more.
- Resume workshop prior to the Nursing Job Fair with over 20 Hospitals from all over the country.
- Earn points towards $75 book scholarships and various other prizes.
Membership is required for all undergraduate nursing students.
A $10 yearly membership fee covers costs such as food provided at the meetings, expenses of sending members to conventions, and purchasing supplies for community service activities.
