SAC and College Governance
Student Leadership: Giving a Voice to your Nursing EducationThe Student Advisory Council (SAC) provides feedback on behalf of students to the Dean, faculty and administration. Members of the council provide input on matters related to the College’s academic programs and student welfare. The SAC also plans activities such as service projects throughout the year.
The SAC is composed of 10 members, with each academic program represented.
- 6 Traditional BSN
- 2 Accelerated Options (one from East Lansing cohort; one from Detroit cohort)
- 1 RN to BSN
- 1 CNS/Nursing Education
- 1 Nurse Anesthesia
- 1 Nurse Practitioner
- 1 PhD
- 1 DNP

A call for nominations is sent out every February, with elections being held in April. Accelerated Option students will conduct a special election in June of each year.
