Sigma Theta Tau
The Honor Society of Nursing: an Invitation to ExcellenceSigma Theta Tau International was founded in 1922 by six nursing students at the Indiana University Training School for Nurses (now Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis). The founders chose the name from the Greek words Storgé, Tharsos and Timé meaning "love," "courage" and "honor."
The Alpha Psi Chapter:
Michigan State University Chapter of Region 10 was founded in 1969 and supports the learning and professional development of members who strive to improve nursing care. The Alpha Psi chapter provides support for local activities including: nursing research, continuing education, and community service.
