Accelerated Second Degree Program


REQUIREMENTS & PREREQUISITES


A number of prerequisite foundational courses must be completed in advance of admission to the Accelerated Second Degree program. In addition, candidates must have completed the courses marked with an asterisk (*) within ten years of their anticipated program start date.

The prerequisites content areas and corresponding Michigan State University course requirement are listed below. Please see MSU's on-line catalog for a description of the following courses:
  • Human Anatomy - ANTR 350*
  • Human Physiology - PSL 250 or PSL 310*
  • Pathophysiology - NUR 300*
  • Microbiology - MMG 201
  • General Chemistry - CEM 141
  • Statistics - STT 200
  • Nutrition - HNF 311
  • Introductory Psychology - PSY 101
  • Lifespan Human Development - FCE 225

Prospective candidates are not required to complete prerequisite coursework at Michigan State University. If they wish to do so, they should consider submitting a Lifelong Education application for study.
