Accelerated Second Degree Program
REQUIREMENTS & PREREQUISITES
A number of prerequisite foundational courses must be completed in advance of admission to the Accelerated
Second Degree program. In addition, candidates must have completed the courses marked with an asterisk (*)
within ten years of their anticipated program start date.

- Human Anatomy - ANTR 350*
- Human Physiology - PSL 250 or PSL 310*
- Pathophysiology - NUR 300*
- Microbiology - MMG 201
- General Chemistry - CEM 141
- Statistics - STT 200
- Nutrition - HNF 311
- Introductory Psychology - PSY 101
- Lifespan Human Development - FCE 225
Prospective candidates are not required to complete prerequisite coursework at
Michigan State University. If they wish to do so, they should consider submitting a Lifelong Education application for study.
