FACULTY PRACTICE COMMITTEE
In accordance with the College of Nursing (CON) Bylaws, the Faculty Practice Committee consists of CON faculty members actively practicing and credentialed, one student with a voice and vote, and ex-officio members who include the Director of Practice, Assistant and Associate Deans of CON. Annually, the Committee members
elect a chair. Members serve a staggered two-year term.
Purpose:
Recommend and implement the practice mission of the College
Review and propose policies and issues related to faculty practice
Evaluate practice resources and make recommendations to the Dean
Review and update quality performance indicators
Develop and implement plan for evaluation of quality of practice
Provide a forum to examine practice issues and keep faculty informed of the changing health care environment and its impact
      on the College
Evaluate opportunities for new clinical practices
Identify and facilitate opportunities for research and scholarship within practice
Assure Compliance with the nursing service plan and the faculty appointment system
Review and evaluate all aspects of clinical practice for adherence to diversity, outreach and international goals of the College.
