The Human Animal Bond Initiative is an interdisciplinary consortium housed within the College of Nursing at Michigan State University. The purpose of this annual conference is to communicate the science behind our relationship with animals.

Abstracts are being sought for both poster and brief podium presentations. Abstracts submitted for podium presentations must be completed research work. Abstracts submitted for posters may include completed research, research in progress, evidence-based interventions, or community programs that have used animals therapeutically.

Formats

  • Podium presentations: Podium presentations are scheduled for a total of 30 minutes, with at least 10 minutes reserved for questions and discussion.
     
  • Poster presentations: Poster presentations are scheduled for 60 minutes on Friday, October 10 and 30 minutes on Saturday, October 11, during which time presenters talk individually with participants. Posters are free standing displays designed for a 3 foot or 6 foot tabletop.
