The MSU College of Nursing Alumni Association (CONAA) annually has the honor of selecting College of Nursing alumni for the Outstanding Alumni Award. The Outstanding Alumni Awards is bestowed upon graduates whose successes embody the high level of accomplishment exemplary of Michigan State University College of Nursing graduates.

The presentation of this award bestows recognition upon the award winner and the College of Nursing at Michigan State University. The Alumni Board seeks candidates who have demonstrated a combination of the following criteria:

Selection Criteria:

• Must be a graduate from MSU College of Nursing or has shown exemplary support to the College.
• Positively reflects and enhances the image of MSU College of Nursing.
• Has attained a high level of professional accomplishment in areas such as: advanced degrees, certification, teaching, research, publication, direct-care delivery, mentoring, patient advocacy, community service, non-nursing and/or professional advancement.
• Has demonstrated the highest standard of personal integrity.
• Must be a member or the MSU/CON Alumni Association or willing to join.

• Nominations will be accepted from College of Nursing alumni, the nursing community, and any one else who feels that their nominee is deserving of recognition by the MSU College of Nursing. Self-nomination is encouraged.
• Nomination forms may be submitted at any time during the year. All nominations must be received by August 1, 2007.
• The awards committee will review the nominations and recommend award candidates to the College of Nursing Alumni Association President.
• The CON Alumni Association President will recommend the final slate of award candidates to the Dean of the College of Nursing.

This form may be used to nominate someone as an outstanding alumni. The nomination deadline is August 1, 2007.
