The College of Nursing is committed to the support of full time doctoral students. Funding for students in the doctoral program
comes from a variety of sources that includes:
- Scholarships
- Federal nurse traineeships
- Graduate fellowships
- Graduate assistantships
- Research assistantships
- Individual pre-doctoral awards and loans
There are funds available to support doctoral education based on the strength of student research plans and their match with
faculty mentors. All students in the nursing doctoral program are expected to apply for external funding for their dissertation research.
College of Nursing scholarships are established by the gifts and contributions of various private donors and friends of the College. Scholarships are awarded on both merit-based and need-based criteria.
