Meeting the needs of our communities, locally and globally 

Today's nurse cares for clients from many different backgrounds, cultures and countries. Michigan State University College of Nursing has graduates practicing everywhere from our local community to around the globe. Understanding health beliefs and practices from different cultural groups is an important part of providing culturally competent healthcare. 

Local:

MSU Federal Credit Union Wellness Education Series: The Wellness Education Series touches on topics varying from keeping safe in the sun, to breast cancer and other timely topics. 

Capital Area Health Alliance: The college is involved with the Capital Area Health Alliance (CAHA), a regional hub for organizations with interest in health and health care. CAHA connects providers engaged in the work of health care with the college and other organizations working at the community level to support innovative approaches to improve the health of the entire community and to bring resources and educational opportunities to employers, businesses and area residents.
