Why move to East Lansing?
East Lansing is home to a vibrant community, with a busy downtown and festivals and events year-round. Public transit makes it easy to get around the region.
The area is home to some of the top school districts in the state, including East Lansing, Haslett and Okemos. Several top daycares are also in the area.
MSU is home to the Wharton Center, which brings in Broadway touring productions, musicians and other acts throughout the year. Also, as a Big Ten university, campus is often abuzz with major sporting events.
Campus is home to several intramural facilities, and the mid-Michigan area has a sprawling bike trail. Several golf courses and even a family-friendly aquatic center are also near campus.
With several of the Great Lakes less than 90 minutes away, as well as energetic cities like Detroit and Grand Rapids nearby, you'll always be able to find something to do. Lansing is also home to a commercial airport that you can get you to an even further destination.
