If you have questions for an advisor, our recommended way to connect is by attending a virtual drop-in advising session. Virtual drop-ins are one-on-one meetings with an advisor, not group advising sessions. You will have time to ask questions specific to your situation, including questions related to returning to campus, your schedule, etc.

Fall 2026 Regular Drop-in schedule starting September 8th

• Mondays – 9am to 11am and 1pm to 4pm
• Tuesdays – 10am to 1pm
• Wednesdays – 11am to 2pm
• Thursdays – 11am to 3pm
• Fridays – 9am to 12pm

Changes to Regular Drop-in Schedules for certain times

• Spring 2027 Enrollment Period Drop-in Schedule October 19th – November 12th (No drop-ins Oct. 26th) -
  • Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays – 10am to 4pm
  • Tuesdays 9am to 2pm
• Fall Finals Week Drop-in Schedule December 7th – December 18th (No drop-ins on Friday Dec. 18th) -  
  • Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays – 10am to 4pm
  • Tuesdays 9am to 2pm

1. When you click this link, you will see a screen that says please wait for the host to start the meeting. That is the waiting room; stay on that screen until you are let in for your time with an advisor.
2. Each student will have up to 10 minutes to chat with an advisor - please come prepared with your questions before you join
3. Please make sure your zoom name is your full name to help advisors pull up your student file.
4. Students must be logged in 10 minutes prior to the end of the drop-in time to be seen. If you are not logged in 10 minutes prior to the end of the session, you may not be seen.

Because we will be hosting drop-ins daily throughout the semester, scheduled advising appointments will be limited. Please use the provided chart to determine if you need to schedule an appointment or if you should attend drop-in advising. If you would like to talk through your schedule, discuss enrollment options, application questions, or other quick questions, please plan to join us during the drop-in hours listed above. If you need additional time with an advisor and cannot find time in SIS, please email our office – CON.AcademicAdvising@msu.edu
