Bott Brick Program

Brick by brick, MSU College of Nursing alumni, students, parents and supporters are uniting to build a stronger Spartan Nurse community!

Now is your opportunity - take part in the inaugural Bott Brick Program!

"Cement" your mark within MSU campus by contributing a $250 (4"x8") or a $400 (8"x8") donation, with all proceeds funneling directly to the Nursing Accelerated BSN Scholarship Fund. Once purchased, a custom message will be engraved and your brick permanently placed in the entryway of the Bott Nursing Building!
 

Celebrate your ties to the College of Nursing through this unique opportunity that serves as a lasting tribute to Spartan Nursing!

Inscribed bricks are a wonderful way to:

• Celebrate commencements, reunions, and other Spartan Nurse milestones. 

• Honor a beloved student, alum, faculty or staff, or family member.

• Demonstrate lifelong pride and support for the MSU College of Nursing.
   

How It Works

• On a rolling basis, memorative bricks in the sizes of 4” x 8” and 8” x 8” can be sponsored through donations of $250 and $400 respectively – see details on giving and the brick customization process below.
   
• PLEASE NOTE: Making your gift through our regular gift link (not through this web page) or sending a gift in the mail will NOT automatically reserve a brick. Please follow the process outlined below. If you would like to mail in your reservation, please enclose a note stating that you are purchasing a brick, along with a gift of $250/$400 or greater indicating the fund of your choice. You will be contacted by the Advancement Office for brick customization details.
   
• One brick will be installed for each gift received.
   
• Batch engraving and installation of 5-10 donor bricks will be completed throughout the year The total number of program orders and schedule of Landscape Services will determine the frequency.
   
• Brick placement will be determined by the Advancement Office and Landscaping Services. Specific location requests for brick placement will be honored when possible. A single donor ordering multiple bricks will not guarantee placement together. Special requests should be noted in the customization application and discussed with the Advancement Office.
   
• Bricks will be cared for by MSU Infrastructure Planning and Facilities. IPF maintains hard services including snow removal and repair as needed, including power washing and grouting.
   

What You Can Include

Your brick can be engraved with a personalized message such as a name, graduation year, or meaningful phrase.

• 4" x 8" bricks have a text limit of three lines, with 16 characters per line (including spaces and punctuation).
• 8" x 8" bricks have a text limit of six lines, with 16 characters per line (including spaces and punctuation).
• Purchasing a brick for someone special? Fill out the "In Honor Of" section of the engraving form to have a certificate sent to them.
  
  PLEASE NOTE: No custom symbols outside of punctuation will be permitted. Due to copyright restrictions, Greek organization names and letters cannot be engraved.
   

4" x 8" bricks can be purchased for a donation of $250 towards the Accelerated BSN Scholarship Fund. Please follow the link in the button below and use the drop-down box "Select College or Program", then click "Nursing". 

Directly following your donation, please submit the customization form below for your brick. If you have purchased more than one paver, a matching number of engraving forms will be required (two forms for two bricks, three for three bricks, etc.)

Once your donation and engraving form are received, a staff member from the College of Nursing advancement office will reach out via phone or email to confirm your order.
 

8" x 8" bricks can be purchased for a donation of $400 towards the Accelerated BSN Scholarship Fund. If you are interested in giving to one of our College's priority funds, follow the link in the the button below and use the drop-down box "Select College or Program", then click "Nursing". 

Directly following your donation, please submit the below customization form for your brick. If you have purchased more than one paver, a matching number of engraving forms will be required (two forms for two bricks, three for three bricks, etc.)

Once both your donation and engraving form are received, a staff member from the College of Nursing advancement office will reach out via phone or email to confirm your order.
