Give Green Day raised $10K for mental health program
The College of Nursing would like to thank the approximately 65 donors who supported psychiatric mental health education on Give Green Day, Dec. 3, through the Amy L. King Memorial Endowment. After achieving this feat, Spartan Nurses will be further equipped with the knowledge and skills to treat this growing field in the health care system.
The hallmark of a Spartan Nurse is going above and beyond, and it showed as the college exceeded its $10,000 goal. In total, units across the university raised more than $1.5 million in just 24 hours on Tuesday. In addition to raising support for psychiatric mental health education, 21 donors also supported the Future Nurses Club and Student Emergency Fund, both previous Give Green Day initiatives.
In total, 86 donors from 11 states supported the College of Nursing on Give Green Day. This serves as a reminder that the Spartan Nursing network spans far and wide past the walls of the Bott Building for Nursing Education and Research, and Life Science.
Again, thank you to all who donated. Your gifts will help train the next generation of nursing leaders and leave a lasting impact on countless lives.
