Community

The East Lansing community has everything you could ask for in a mid-sized town, including a Farmer's Market, shops and restaurants, a library, and kind and welcoming neighbors.

Schools

The area is home to some of the top schools in the state, including East Lansing, Haslett and Okemos high schools, which are routinely ranked in the Top 30 in Michigan. The area also has top daycare and early childhood education options, including Spartan Child Development Center and the MSU Child Development Laboratory.

Recreation

From on-campus recreation facilities and lush botanical gardens, to bike trails, breathtaking parks and nature centers within miles of MSU, the region is a recreation lover's paradise.

Entertainment 

The on-campus Wharton Center for the Performing Arts brings world-class shows, including Hamilton, to the region. Meanwhile, big-name concerts come to the Breslin Center, and the area is home to several smaller music clubs. More of a sports fan? MSU is part of the Big Ten Conference, which routinely features marquee matchups in our backyard.

Access

Even if you can't find what you need in the Greater Lansing area, both the metro Detroit and Grand Rapids areas are only an hour away, ensuring everything you need is always at your fingertips. Of course, the Great Lakes are also as close as 90 minutes away.
