Giving
The College of Nursing strives to be recognized as a premier nursing college and a transformative force in healthcare. Support from MSU community members is essential to achieving the college's mission of advancing the health of individuals, communities, and populations through inclusive and equitable nursing education, research, scholarship, and practice.
Giving Priorities
Simulation learning, nursing research, endowed professorships, and scholarships across all academic programs have been identified as the four funding pillars that allow for the College of Nursing to thrive. Funding towards these key initiatives will pave the way for current and future Spartan Nurses in providing the best healthcare possible to our communities.
Simulation Learning
Simulation environments allow our students to reach their top potential in clinical settings. The college is preparing to expand its simulation footprint by renovating the current Granger Simulation Lab and exploring an interdisciplinary health facility that will house newly donated simulation equipment.
Supporting Education
Thanks to generosity of our donors and friends, the College of Nursing offers several scholarships to allow students to reach their full potential without fear of financial burdens. The college is expanding enrollment in all programs over the next 10 years, thus increasing the need for scholarships.

"I could be a person who represents the spirit of serving for the underserved diverse population anywhere in the world, and I felt no other college would prepare me for that more than MSU. The true sense of strong educational experience, and the journey I have had here at MSU are unforgettable."
-Satya Subedi, recipient of CVS Foundation MSN Scholarship Fund
Advancing Research
The College of Nursing is rapidly expanding its research efforts to address the growing need for nursing science. As we train the next generation of nursing researchers, our Spartan Nurses are transforming the health of individuals and communities through patient-focused studies.

"Donor funding is not merely a financial contribution; it is an investment in the advancement of nursing research and scholarship that resonates across our faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students. With the support of our donors, we are able to delve deeper into three pivotal areas of research: symptom science and management, health promotion and illness prevention, and health services research. Through rigorous qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches, coupled with implementation science, data analytics, and literature synthesis, we are pioneering innovative solutions to complex healthcare challenges for people across the lifespan."
-Dr. Susan Buchholz, associate dean for research
Endowed Professorships
As the College of Nursing pursues its mission of advancing the health of individuals and communities, it creates opportunities for top nursing researchers to join a collaborative academic environment. The college aims to retain and attract great healthcare leaders through endowed faculty roles.
