At just 26 years old, Chepkorir is the co-founder and president of the Mwangaza Cancer Initiative, which was formed in 2018 in response to rising cases of cancer diagnosed at later stages in Kericho County and other parts of Kenya. Through her work, the organization has provided breast and cervical cancer education to over 4,000 women and girls and supported the screening of 100 women living with HIV and AIDS. Chepkorir is currently a doctoral student at the University of Johns Hopkins.
