Master's program up 15 spots in latest U.S. News rankings

The Michigan State University College of Nursing’s Master of Science in Nursing program jumped 15 spots and its Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program maintained its rank in the 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings, released today.

The master’s program jumped up to No. 58 and the DNP program stayed steady at No. 49.

“We are proud to see our master’s program receive this recognition,” said Dean Leigh Small. “We have a dedicated, passionate faculty who work to ensure our students receive the best education and we have an incredible support staff who optimize the educational experience for students. These are the essential elements needed to propel our future program growth. We will continue our mission to strive toward educational excellence, placing our Spartan Nursing students at the center of all that we do.”

The MSU College of Nursing is home to multiple master's programs, with additional concentrations in some areas:   

-Clinical Nurse Specialist
 

Nurse Practitioner, three concentrations:

-Adult Gerontology

-Family

-Psychiatric Mental Health

 

In addition, the college offers the DNP in:

-Clinical Nurse Specialist
 

Nurse Practitioner, three concentrations:

-Adult Gerontology

-Family

-Psychiatric Mental Health
 

-Nurse Anesthesiology
 

-Post-master’s DNP
