As part of our thanks, we have developed educational modules to help set you up for success in your preceptorship. Each module offers 0.25 contact hours for successful completion of the educational content as outlined in the videos. Module #5: Strategies for Precepting: High and Low Performers

In addition to module CE contact hours, preceptors may claim state of Michigan continuing education (CE) credit for precepting!
A preceptorship must be for a minimum of 24 preceptor hours with a preceptor ratio of 1 student or employee to 1 preceptor. Twenty-four preceptor hours equals 1 continuing education hour. Preceptors can claim up to 5 continuing education (CE) contact hours per licensure renewal cycle in Michigan / every 2 years. If audited, an applicant shall submit written documentation from the educational institution or preceptor’s supervisor verifying the dates and hours of the preceptorship. There is no set format or form for documentation for hours or participant verification.
