Destiny McMillin

Hello! My name is Destiny McMillin, and I am the College of Nursing Human Resources Coordinator. I received my BA from the University of Michigan [hey, maize & blue make GREEN!] as well as my MS from Cleary University. I have a combined 10 years of human resources experience and am becoming a Spartan at heart! I love to explore and engage in everything this University has to offer, from the horticulture gardens to the dairy store.

I started my HR journey in the College of Nursing in 2024. I have lived many lives in my HR career, working in home healthcare, automotive, and now grappling with my newest challenge, academia! All of my experiences brought me to this role, and I am eternally grateful to be a part of a strong team from top to bottom, helping with the output of many great students, researchers, employees, and, most importantly, nurses.

In my free time, I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my small child, my ferret Fa Luan [translated to mean “Messy” or “Get Confused”, spot on if anyone has ever met a ferret]. Outside of work, you will catch me kayaking, working on my yoga teacher training, or thrifting for my newest project piece.
