Education, Certification, and Experience:
I've pursued two undergraduate degrees, each marking a significant chapter in my journey. My first degree, in Biology Education, was earned from Benue State University, Nigeria, in 2010. Later, I ventured into nursing, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 2015.
Continuing my educational pursuit, I achieved a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Grand Valley State University in 2021, further solidifying my dedication to advancing healthcare.
My professional experience encompasses diverse roles, from teaching practice at Benue State University in 2009 to serving as an RN at Spectrum Health Continuing Care Nursing Home and Sub-acute Rehab from 2015 to 2019. Later, I transitioned to RN at Spectrum Health Butterworth Meijer Heart Center from 2016 to 2021, where I honed my skills in cardiovascular care.
Currently, I serve as a Nurse Practitioner at MSU Family Medicine, starting in 2022, with a keen interest in chronic disease management. Additionally, I've had the privilege of joining the faculty at MSU College of Nursing as an Assistant Professor, beginning in 2022, where I aim to inspire and mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Career Highlights:
As a Nurse Practitioner, I love seeing my patients get to a point where they understand and gain confidence in self-management of their chronic conditions.
